Mark grew up in New Jersey with his parents, Judy and David, brother, Michael, and sister, Laurie. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Interior Design, he continued onto Harvard Business School and into the vicious world of finance. Mark founded Palladin Consumer Retail Partners’ predecessor, Palladin Capital Group, in 1998 to acquire, provide financing for, and actively manage diversified corporations, primarily in the retail and consumer products sectors. Mark has taken on a number of roles in the companies in which he has invested or which he has advised, including CEO, Chairman, and active board member.
All of this was a front to support the pursuit of his creative passions (and his family - Marie, Ben, and Eric). Mark has remodeled his house more than a dozen times and sits on the board of Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art, among other non-profits.
You can find Mark heads down in balance sheets in Boston or in blue prints in New Preston. He can be reached at mark@markschwart.com
